The open, 5-axis, milling and grinding machine, inLab MC X5, is designed specifically to meet dental lab requirements for cost-efficient production.

Every aspect of inLab MC X5 has been designed to address the CADCAM needs encountered in dental labs. It can be used as a universal production unit for processing zirconium oxide, polymers, composites, wax and metals, as well as glass and hybrid ceramics. The innovative multi-block holder can accommodate up to six blocks of different materials, enabling maximum productivity even with multiple single-tooth applications.

inLab MC X5 can be used for wet or dry production, and also combination production during the same machining operation depending on material and indication. The high-quality interior design includes smooth surfaces and rounded contours that reduce deposit amounts, making the machine easy to clean.

The unit is open production and the perfect supplement to the inLab components, inEos X5 and inLab software. It can also be used to process other STL restoration data.

There is more than just outstanding functionality and simple operation; its compact, elegant shape and modern design will be a real eye-catcher in the lab and perfectly complements the award-winning inEos X5 extraoral scanner.

There is a complete view of the machining status available anytime, anywhere, with the ‘touch-optimised’ inLab CAM software. Navigate through the machine configuration and service functions on a PC tablet with just a few clicks.

Wide range of indications

The application range for inLab MC X5 is continuously growing, enabling dental labs to make productive use of their equipment. Processable disc height and setting angles offer flexibility for manufacturing implant restorations with heavily diverging screw channels or abnormally shaped stumps.

Open

inLab MC X5 perfectly complement the inLab components inEos X5 and inLab software. For more flexibility when connecting to other CAD/CAM systems, the inLab CAM software can also accept STL data imports and XML-based STL files from restoration data generated in 3Shape (*.3ox). Moreover, the newly coordinated interface with exocad® (*.constructioninfo) enhances the reliability of production processes in the digital workflow.

inLab CAM software for efficient production control

One perfect workflow: The inLab CAM software was specifically developed for use with the Dentsply Sirona production machines inLab MC X5.  Thanks to the user-friendly interface, all necessary work steps, system configurations and integrated service functions can be carried out quickly and easily. Additionally, the software offers a valuable documentation tool for the quality management, with all essential information on job history, finished elements, and materials.

Large variety of materials

The inLab MC X5 is a universal production unit for processing zirconia, polymers, composites, wax and sintering metal, as well as glass and hybrid ceramics. The dental laboratory essentially has a free choice of materials. Choose among Dentsply Sirona's own brand of CAD/CAM materials and a great variety of CAD/CAM material partners for high-quality materials to which the inLab MC X5 processes were specifically adapted.

ImageDiscs & blocks

The inLab MC X5 processes standard discs (ø 98.5 mm, up to 30 mm thick*) and blocks in a single machine. Changing from discs to blocks takes just a few seconds. The special multi-block holder can accommodate up to six blocks of various materials, offering maximum productivity even with multiple single-tooth restorations.

*Requires inLab CAM SW 16.1 service pack or higher

ImageGrinding & milling / Wet or dry

The inLab MC X5 can be used for dry or wet production depending on the material and indication Thirty years of experience in the wet processing of glass ceramics make this the ultimate professional machine for the wet grinding of fully contoured restorations from final-strength monolithic materials. Alternating between wet and dry production, e.g., from glass ceramics to zirconia, is fast and uncomplicated.

ImageMetal processing

A clean and safe alternative to conventional casting is milling NPM sintering metal blanks with the inLab MC X5 based on digital restoration data. New: The inLab MC X5 is capable of milling one-piece custom titanium abutments made of prefabricated Medentika PreFaces® abutment preforms – directly in the dental laboratory.
